The success of Nokia in the flip phone arena is not great like the Motorola and other mobile companies. But this does not stop Nokia from releasing it brand new Nokia 6131 flip phone. The phone looks small, cute and weighs about 112 grams. It has a dimension of 92 x 48 x 20 mm whish is ideal for a flip model mobile. The opening and closing mechanism of this flip phone is smooth and easy. It’s basically a quad band mobile that can operate in four types of networks. This mobile has a external display that shows some basic information’s like time, date, signal strength, battery strength and during a call it can display either the contact name or phone number. The internal display QVGA screen is 262k colors and really looks good.

The Nokia 6131 does not score well in multimedia category but instead it has some good multimedia features. The phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera that can be used to save some precious moments when we are not carrying our digital camera. The inbuilt music player can handle MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA audio file formats. The video players have a minimal functionality however it’s good. This mobile phone has a very minimal inbuilt memory of just 32MB however the storage bucket can be extended by adding a 512MB memory card in the SD card slot. The 512MB can store some music files, videos and the pictures taken from the camera.

The Nokia 6131 has Nokia pop USB and Bluetooth features and with the above two we can connect the device with other compatible devices like headsets, car kit, laptops and personal computers. It has a BL-4C battery and this has a standby time of 240 hours and a descent talk time.

The Nokia E66 the slider smart phone in the Nokia Eseries range is built in S60 platform third edition device , targeting business users. It is a successor to the Nokia E65 of which it shares many features. The Nokia E66 offers a premium look and feel with its stainless steel accents and offers excellent personal information management in a smooth slide-phone design .E66 has similar features to the Nokia E71 handset, has large capacity battery of BL-4U, 3.7V 1000 mAh lithium-polymer and full QWERTY, however the E66 is relatively smaller in size and weighs 121 g, Volume: 62.6 cc is portable to carry. The screen of the E66 is around 2.4 in TFT QVGA (240×320 pixel), 16.8 million colors.

The E66 also includes an accelerometer, which is lacking in the E71. The Nokia E66 comes fully equipped for easy-to-install and easy-to-use professional and personal email optimized The Nokia E66 features 2,5 mm (3/32″) audio port which is not suitable for traditional headphones plug (3,5 mm or 1/8″). Other features include one-touch keys, 3.2-megapixel camera, up to 8 , 2048×1536 pixel, auto focus, video (QVGA, frames/second), flash and with a second camera(video call camera) 15 gigabytes of storage (with a microSDHC, hot swappable memory card), music player and e-mail support, including Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email among others. Supported WCDMA frequencies depend on the region where the device is available. Connectivity of E66 features WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b,g,Integrated & Assisted GPS,Bluetooth 2.0, Infrared and microUSB.Two customizable home screens let users switch easily between business and personal applications, and the display switches between portrait and landscape when the device is turned… The Nokia E66 supports the latest Ovi services including maps, music and media sharing that power users expect from their device. This includes fast and seamless browsing with HSDPA, wireless LAN and 3G connectivity, Calls on the Nokia E66 sounded good. Bluetooth paired quickly with our headsets. The phone also features a speakerphone that is nice and clear, but not as pleasingly loud. We would like to see a 3.5mm headphone jack instead of the E66’s 2.5mm port. Stereo speakers would give the speakerphone a boost, as well as the music playback. The phone still packs an impressive music player which supports MP3, AAC and WMA , with customizable EQ settings and play lists that were easy to create. Other features include FOTA (firmware update Over The Air.Nokia E66 is available in grey steel or white steel version.

NOKIA N95 is the latest model in N-series with its web 2.0 generation. Not only is it proficient online, with its web browser, Flash video player and myriad wireless options, but with a 5-megapixel camera and excellent bundled PC software has made content well.

The 2.6in 240 x 320 screens are bright and clear and the screen also slides both ways: up to reveal a numeric keypad, down to reveal four media control buttons. Compared to other phones the camera offers good quality. Five mega pixels sounds are impressive and by flipping over the phone there is a Carl Zeiss lens along with another 352 x 288 pixel camera on the front for video calls.

N95 provides with excellent Music Manager Software and also one can automatically upload everything on your phone to blog .N95 works well with outlook’s calendar and contacts.Apart from the quad-band GSM and GPRS networks, there’s also 3G and HSDPA, as well as 802.11b/g.Nokia has located the GPS antenna in the bottom of the handset.

There are few problems which made N95 a downfall one of which is the, battery life are poor – you’ll often find you’re out of power within 24 hours. And also one cannot change through its USB port.

The Nokia N72 is a 3G phone which has a built-in 2.0 megapixel camera. It comes in a wide range of colour including pink, black with silver outline and black with gold outline. Among the black with silver outline has a stunning look. The camera can be switched on simply by sliding the doors at the back downwards, which eliminates the use of menus to switch on a camera. It is easy to switch from image-videos and video-image mode. It has a flash light but that does not sounds good. The picture taken from the phone during the day time is good but at night the picture quality will diminish.

When speaking about the music, it has a built-in misic player to play songs and Realplayer to play the videos. You can enjoy music in headphones but the speaker does not sounds good like the sony ericsson mobile phones.

Regarding the GPRS and Internet they can get you a speed around 5kb/sec(max) in normal network but when it comes to a 3G network it will be like a true broadband. So people who have 3G network in their town/city can prefer this phone rather going for a landline broadband connection.
